Sail Port Stephens

Sail Port Stephens is an annual yachting regatta held in the gorgeous waterways of the Port Stephens Marine Park, with the regatta centre hosted at d'Albora Marina, Nelson Bay. The regatta offers great sailing, a dynamic social and entertainment program plus loads of children’s activities. All sailing and race management is under the direction of internationally recognised and respected Principal Race Officer, Denis Thompson - with competition and racing to suit everyone from the cruiser racer to the hard core IRC competitor. Sail Port Stephens is one of the fastest growing regattas on the Australian calendar and set to become an internationally recognised yachting event. Port Stephens is an easy drive from Sydney in less than three hours, or fly from Melbourne or Queensland, direct to Newcastle Airport.

Wild Side Festival at Hawks Nest

The Wild Side festival is a weekend of activities featuring free guided walks through the spectacular wildflowers and natural environment surrounding the Hawks Nest area. A “Festival Ferry” service will be operating from Nelson Bay, which will be met by a free community bus to take you to the actions in Hawks Nest. Festival Ferry Tickets are available from Cruise Booking Agency, Port Stephens Boat Hire and Port Stephens Visitor Information Centre. All the shops in Hawks Nest will be open and the cafes and restaurants look forward to serving you with a delicious variety of food and drinks.

Wingham Beef Week

Wingham Beef Week is a series of Beef orientated activities held in Wingham and surrounding areas. Other activities include a Roving Field day, Junior Field Day using the school’s cattle to educate people in the preparation and showing of cattle, a mock auction, Craft Display, Fun on the Park at Central Park Wingham, all Breeds Cattle Competition, Stalls, Displays and a street parade.
