Aslings Beach

Aslings Beach is central to the town of Eden, and flanks the northern part of Twofold Bay. Whales (October-November) and dolphins are often seen right along the shoreline, either feeding or sheltering in the Bay. A great family beach located opposite and very close to Eden's range of Caravan Parks and surrounded by Boyd National Park where bushwalking and exploring the coastline can be enjoyed.

Bawley Vale Estate, Murramarang Vineyard, is a 100 acre property situated 3 kilometres east of beautiful Bawley Point Beach. It has plantings of 100 Olive Trees, 155 various Fruit Trees and 10 Varieties of grapes, 7427 vines in total. There is a stylish tasting room to sample our award winning wines and make purchases.

Beecroft Head Lookout And Lighthouse

Drive through natural scrub and beautiful spring wildflowers to Point Perpendicular Lighthouse and the spectacular escarpment at Jervis Bay. There is no access to the inside of the Lighthouse. The view from the grounds of the Lighthouse makes this drive worthwhile. The light station was a major coastal light in a network of navigational aids operated and maintained by the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. It has now been replaced by a new lighthouse, but the building remains and is of historic significance.

Bega Valley Regional Art Gallery

The Bega Vallery Regional Gallery holds a collection of approx. 120 works of both histroic and contemporary significance. Artists include: Albert Nanatjira, Hilda Rix Nicholas and local artists Kathy Boland and Peter Dunne The Gallery is a member of The Regional Galleries Association of NSW with a permanent collection of high standard developed from locally based artists, supplemented by works on loan.

Cambewarra Estate Winery

Cambewarra Estate has the magnificent Cambewarra Mountain as a backdrop and is surrounded by the rolling hills of the Shoalhaven Valley. Established in 1994, the 2004 vintage celebrated its tenth anniversary with a special label painted by internationally renowned artist Robert Dickerson who lives and works in the Shoalhaven area.

Coolangatta Estate Winery

Coolangatta Estate grapes are grown on the slopes of Mt Coolangatta and have won 66 Trophies and over 950 wine awards at Regional, National and International Wine Shows.The resort is of historic interest, being the site of the first settlement in the Shoalhaven District. It occupies the original buildings of Alexander Berry's Coolangatta Estate which are now used as guestrooms and restaurants. Visit the original Coolangatta, situated on 300 acres where visitors can take self-guided historic tours, visit the cellar door with historic photo display and award winning wine tasting, eat in our restaurant specialising in regional produce or play a round on our 9 hole golf course.

Hanging Rock Lookout

This remarkable feature has been a prominent landmark of Nowra since the town was established. It is 46.25 metres above the river and offers spectacular views. The precariously positioned overhanging rock formation with views across the Shoalhaven River can best be seen from the Bens Walk walking track.

Hyams Beach

Hyams Beach is listed in the "Guinness book of records" as having the whitest sand in the world. It is the most famous and popular of the myriad bays and beaches inside Jervis Bay. Facing east and looking directly at Point Perpendicular, Hyams rarely receives any swell other than a gentle shore break in a nor’easter, making it a safe family beach.

Kangaroo Valley Estate

All wine is grown and harvested in the alluvial soils adjacent to Kangaroo Valley's famous Hampden Bridge land-mark, the rather unique grape-variety, Viognier, will delight your senses with its subtle taste and unique flavours. The cellar door tasting room is located in the function room of Jing Jo Cafe Thai Restaurant on the lawns opposite Hampden Bridge. The cellar door is scheduled to be open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays 11am to 4pm when visitors will be able to experience the Award-winning Kangaroo Valley Estate 2006 Viognier and 2006 Shiraz as well as the 2008 Shiraz-Viognier.

Merimbula Main Beach

The sandbank known as Merimbula Bar at the north end of Merimbula Main Beach is one of the South Coast’s true postcard waves. A lovely left-hander that enjoys almost total protection from the northeast sea breeze thanks to a bulky northern headland, “the bar” is at its best on a south swell. The beach going south towards Pambula does see the odd wave breaking onto the variable sandbanks, but really this is just sunning and strolling territory. Middle Beach, just north of the headland, is a better spot for learn-to-surfers. A true tourist centre Merimbula offers accommodation from luxury resorts to motels, campgrounds and a YHA backpacker.

Nowra Wildlife Park

Nowra Wildlife Park is the largest native animal park on the New South Wales South Coast and brings together over 100 species of native Australian animals, birds and reptiles. Set in 16 acres of native bushland and resting on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River, you'll find plenty to see and do during your visit. After spending time exploring the park you can relax with a picnic by the river, cook up a barbecue or eat in the riverside cafe while taking in the views.

NSW Jervis Bay National Park

NSW Jervis Bay National Park lies on 4,211 hectares. Sections of the park fringe Jervis Bay, St George Basin and ocean beaches. The area is rich in Aboriginal heritage, including important wetlands, abd preserves a flourishing diversity of plants and animals. The park lies next to the Commonwealth-managed Jervis Bay National Park which is now called Booderee National Park. The forests, bays and beaches are great for swimming, bushwalking, birdwatching or enjoying the tranquility. Greenfield Beach has visitor facilities including wheelchair access to the beach. From here you can follow the information signs on the White Sands Walk along the coast to Hyams Beach and return by the Scribbly Gum Track.

Surf Beach Batemans Bay

Located 10 minutes south of Batemans Bay central business district, this beach is very popular with both locals and visitors alike. Lots of grassy areas overlooking the beach providing pleasant spots for general relaxation. The beach is patrolled in season.

Two Figs Winery

A boutique winery and vineyard located 12 kilometres from Berry, its spectacular position offers panoramic views from the beaches of Shoalhaven Heads along the expanse of the Shoalhaven River and beyond. Two Figs vineyard was planted in 2003. The winery is now producing wines including cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, chambourcin and Verdelho. The climate is temperate with maritime influences and produces soft, approachable wines.

Ulladulla Beach

Narrawallee Beach in Ulladulla faces a bit northeast and is a long, flat expanse of sand much loved by joggers and beach-combers. The north end is popular with experienced surfers and works well with a decent northeast swell and light westerly (or lighter southerly) winds. The delightful river inlet at the north end is a beautiful spot for day picnics and swimming with the family, best at high tide for a dip but great all day, and for roaming around without getting sand-whipped from the summer sea breezes.
